Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 September 2026

These terms apply to the Caribbean Tech Expo 2K27 website at caribbeantechexpo.com and to the event itself, which Caribbean Tech Connect runs in Kingston, Jamaica. Please read them before you register, buy a ticket or submit an application. By using the site or completing a registration you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Caribbean Tech Connect organises Caribbean Tech Expo 2K27. The team can be reached at expo@caribbean.dev and on the community forum at community.caribbean.dev. Where these terms say "we", "us" or "the organisers" they mean Caribbean Tech Connect.

2. Registration

Registration for each group (attendees, exhibitors, vendors, sponsors, speakers and volunteers) opens and closes on the dates shown on that page. We can close a group early when it is full, and we can extend a window if capacity allows.

Give accurate details and keep them current, because confirmations, reminders and any changes to the programme are sent to the email address on your registration. You are responsible for everything done under your registration. Where a group is limited to one entry per person, duplicate submissions may be merged or removed.

3. Tickets and pricing

Ticket prices are shown in the currency displayed on the site. A sale price applies only while the sale is running and ends on the date shown next to it. Ticket types with a stated capacity sell out, and a single order is limited to five tickets.

Organisers can add, change, disable or remove ticket types. Any ticket already purchased is honoured as sold, including the benefits that came with it.

4. Payments

Card payments are handled by DimePay. We do not see or store your full card number, expiry date or security code.

When a ticket must be paid for, your registration is created and your confirmation email is sent only after payment succeeds. A failed or cancelled payment leaves no registration and no ticket. Each paid order produces a confirmation email carrying your registration reference and the DimePay transaction ID, and you can reopen your receipt from the confirmation page at any time.

5. Refunds, cancellations and changes

Ticket sales close on the date shown for each ticket type. If you can no longer attend, email expo@caribbean.dev as early as you can and we will help where we reasonably can, including moving your ticket to another person.

Refund requests are considered individually and depend on the ticket type, when you ask and whether the ticket can be resold. Requests made less than 7 days before the event are not eligible for a refund. Requests made before then are refunded up to 85% of each ticket purchased.

If we cancel or postpone the event, ticket holders are offered a full refund or a place at the new date.

Sessions, speakers, exhibitor line-ups and timings can change before or during the event. We will tell registered attendees about material changes.

6. Conduct at the event

The expo is a working space for founders, students, developers and companies from across the region. Treat everyone with respect and follow the instructions of venue staff and organisers. Anyone who endangers others, damages property, harasses a participant or repeatedly disrupts a session can be asked to leave, and no refund is given for a removal caused by conduct.

7. Content you send us

You keep ownership of what you submit, including talk ideas, exhibitor and vendor descriptions, sponsorship requests and messages. In sending it to you give us permission to use it to run and promote the event, on this site, on social media and in printed or emailed materials. Please only send material you have the right to share, and nothing unlawful, defamatory or misleading.

8. Acceptable use of the site

  • Do not try to reach the organiser dashboard or any account that is not yours.
  • Do not submit false information, or someone else's details without their knowledge.
  • Do not copy contact details or other data from the site in bulk.
  • Do not interfere with the site, the registration forms or the payment flow.
  • Do not use our contact channels to send unsolicited messages.

10. Our responsibility

Where the law allows, our responsibility for a claim is limited to the amount you paid for tickets, and we are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost business or travel you booked separately. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, and the version on this page is always the one that applies. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Check it before you register, because continuing to use the site after an update means you accept it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica, and the courts of Jamaica have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
